About Me

I have a large experience to install and configure server's hardware and software, another network equipement, to keep them in working conditions, to work in hosting-oriented team as administrator. At last years my focus of interest has extended to AI, cloud technologies. Virtual office is not a dream for today! Also my competency lies in server-side network services, including web-servers (not only Apache), SQL, DNS, Xen, OpenVZ, VoIP PBX, etc...etc

Stages of the long way

May 2010 - Present: Freelancer, IT specialist
May 2003 - May 2010: Internet Service Provider
AS and IP pools, installations of routers, web-hosting administration, VoIP-network management, manage of web-projects and collaborative work with large software projects.
January 2001 - May 2003: Institute of Information Technology
Administrator of FreeBSD/Linux cloud of servers, Over 200 active users network. Main tasks were to keep servers in excellent status, to manage user's accounts and access rights, mastering of new information technologies
September 1996 - January 2001: Metallurgical industrial complex
Telecommunication/network engineer. The common tasks were: creation of internal networks by means of various technologies (fiber optic, xDSL, E1 trunks, Ethernet) and association in the common transport network. Also I installed a big lot of new Microsoft Windows OSes (9x and NT4) when its only have appeared in the market
April 1990 - September 1996:Military Design bureau Military Design bureau
Application layer tasks were here, such as the signature analysis, calculation of transients and other - according to Control theory (that deals with the behavior of dynamical systems). FORTRAN and PL1 were the my best friends here
Diploma: Engineer of control systems. MSc/MA levels, State University, Dnipro

Appendix

I will try to convince you to follow by the simplest (but efficient) way of the following tasks:

LAMPP - traditional "set" of web-server (Linux + Apache + MySQL + Perl + PHP);
Snap your server to the Internet: DNS registration and zone management, Email server, SSL certificates, VPN, etc
Internet (IP telephony) at your office: if you do not trust to publuc services aka Skype or WhatsApp. Secure connection between offices based on Asterisk PBX;
Monitoring of the health of your equipment and hosts (hardware and software) based on Nagios;
Deploying of Content Management Systems: WordPress, Joomla; also web-store scripts can be deployed;
Amazon Web Services and Eucalyptus (free light clone of AWS): up and maintenance virtual servers (any OS and configuration) in the network cloud;
Virtual office: deployment of network applications, workflow;
AI: Text-to-Speech, voice recognition, face recognition, chatbots. Make your site talkative! Maybe, callcenters becomes obsolete;
Consulting help: all of above.
